Riders
In Africa millions of people are dying from easily-preventable diseases because health workers do not have the reliable transport to reach them. By ensuring health workers have access to vehicles that never break down Riders for Health is making sure millions of people across Africa receive regular, reliable health care, often for the first time in their lives.

Action Africa
Chikankata Hospital provides clinical care, outreach services and health training to almost 100,000 people. As well as a 200 bed general hospital, each day a mobile clinic leaves The Salvation Army's Chikankata Mission to various 'hard to reach' areas. This service relies on a heavy duty, 4x4 vehicle which can cope with the rough terrain, a 30 mile journey to some of the more remote areas can take over 4 hours.
The current vehicle is nearing the end of its life. £25,000 will pay for a new vehicle and ensure the hospital has the transport to run this service.
